Quantum Tunneling — The Barrier of Reality

Quantum Tunneling

SCROLL ↓

Scientific Context
In the classical world, a particle should never pass through a barrier higher than its energy. But in the quantum world, the impossible happens.
A particle can tunnel through — appearing on the other side without ever “climbing” over it.
This isn’t a trick of energy but a truth of probability: the particle’s wave function extends beyond the barrier, and occasionally, reality “chooses” the improbable.

Quantum tunneling is responsible for countless phenomena — from the fusion in stars to modern electronics like transistors and Josephson junctions.

“The universe itself is a tunneling event — a quantum fluctuation that became everything.”
— Stephen Hawking, 1987

In essence, reality is not a wall; it is a veil.
It allows those who dare to pass through uncertainty — to appear in a new state of being.

Philosophical Bridge
Tunneling reveals a profound lesson:
What we call “impossible” is often a limit of perception, not of existence.
Every barrier — physical or psychological — is permeable to the one who believes in passage.

At the heart of every leap of faith lies a quantum truth:
The universe rewards those who act as if the wall were already gone.

Rumi’s Reflection

“Knock, and He’ll open the door.
Vanish, and He’ll make you shine like the sun.
Fall, and He’ll raise you to the heavens.
Become nothing, and He’ll turn you into everything.”
— Rumi

Rumi spoke of a kind of spiritual tunneling — the moment when the seeker, by surrendering ego, passes through the wall of illusion (nafs) and reaches the realm of truth.
Quantum tunneling is the same story told in a different tongue:
The soul and the electron both know — there is no barrier for the one who moves in faith.
