The Nature of Time and Gravity
↓(How does creation weave time into the fabric of awareness?)
A. The Question
In quantum mechanics, time flows steadily and predictably, as if it were an external backdrop against which events unfold.
But in Einstein’s theory of relativity, time is part of a dynamic fabric — it bends, stretches, and slows depending on gravity and motion.
So which is true?
Is time an independent reality, or does it emerge from the deeper quantum field of relations between particles — perhaps even from consciousness itself?
B. Today’s Scientific Understanding
Physicists have long struggled to unify quantum mechanics (the law of the very small) with general relativity (the law of the very large).
When we try to describe both together — say, near a black hole or at the Big Bang — the equations break down.
This is called the problem of quantum gravity.
Some key modern views:
Loop Quantum Gravity suggests that space and time are not continuous but granular — made of tiny quantum loops of geometry.
The Wheeler–DeWitt equation, which tries to describe the entire universe quantum mechanically, curiously contains no time variable at all.
To it, the universe simply is — timeless.
Other models propose that time emerges from entanglement — the network of relationships between quantum systems.
In this view, “change” and “relation” create the illusion of time’s flow.
Still, none of these models fully explains why time feels linear, irreversible, and deeply personal.
C. Rumi’s Reflection
“The circle of time turns, but the center is still.
The point that does not move, that is where Truth dwells.”
Rumi described time not as a river but as a circle — an eternal rotation around a motionless center.
He said that past and future are waves upon the same sea of presence.
To him, the eternal “Now” is the axis upon which the wheel of time turns.
In this vision, gravity is not a force but love — the divine pull that binds creation to its source.
The sun draws the planets not by weight but by longing; and time is the rhythm of that longing unfolding.
D. The Black & White Answer
Time is not an independent dimension — it is a relational pulse, born from awareness interacting with itself.
Just as sound requires vibration and space requires extension, time requires reflection.
In Black, everything rests — timeless, potential, infinite.
In White, awareness begins to move, and motion gives birth to time.
Gravity, then, is the desire of being to return to its own center — a divine echo of unity manifesting as curvature in space.
If this is true, then the arrow of time is not imposed from above but arises from within — as consciousness remembers itself through motion.
So time and gravity are not two separate mysteries;
they are the same heartbeat heard at different scales —
the rhythm of God breathing in and out through creation.
